Record Review — Two Sources

Our primary lead source is the City and County of Honolulu Department of Budget and Fiscal Services escheated-check database, publicly available at Honolulu.gov. We search by payee name, check amount, and check number, focusing on checks over $1,000.

We also review the State of Hawaii Unclaimed Property database at unclaimedproperty.ehawaii.gov for additional funds that may exist separately.

Document Collection

Claim Preparation

Our team prepares a complete, properly formatted claim package to submit to the appropriate government office. For Honolulu escheated checks, we submit to the City and County of Honolulu Department of Budget and Fiscal Services. For State unclaimed property, we submit to the Hawaii Department of Budget and Finance. We review all documentation for accuracy and completeness before submission.

Claim Submission

Approval & Payment to You

When the claim is approved, payment is issued directly to you — the rightful owner. This comes in the form of a check or direct deposit from the appropriate government office. You receive the funds, not us. We never receive or hold your funds at any point.
